Wheelchairs

The Museum, including Illuminate, is fully wheelchair accessible.

Lifts

The lift to access Illuminate is wheelchair accessible and has audio announcements.

Toilets

Wheelchair-accessible toilets are available on Level 4 and 5 of Illuminate.

One of the unique features of Illuminate is a panoramic window on Level 5 offering stunning views of the City and an abundance of natural daylight.

Illuminate is a dedicated private event space and is not open to the public.

Yes, dancing is permitted in Illuminate, however a dance-floor is required for any events where dancing will be taking place.

Illuminate has no outside space so smoking is not permitted anywhere on the 4th and 5th floor.
During an event, smokers will be required to leave the Museum to smoke.

Yes, Illuminate provides the latest in high speed wireless and premium internet networking.

There are no parking facilities onsite.

Yes, Illuminate can be hired in conjunction with any of our other Science Museum galleries. All of our galleries can be found here.

Yes, our dedicated AV and catering partners, White Light and Moving Venue ensure quality is met across the board.

The Science Museum is based in South Kensington on Exhibition Road. The museum is a 5-minute walk from South Kensington Tube station.

Illuminate is located on Levels 4 and 5 of the Science Museum.

Unfortunately, Illuminate is not licensed for marriages. However, Illuminate is perfect for dinners and dances.
