To host a special gala dinner and drinks reception for airline professionals.

Why was the Science Museum chosen for this event?
We always use iconic London venues for our events and the Science Museum fitted perfectly with our themes of innovation and forward thinking.

What sort of experience did you want to create?
A fun, technological extravaganza at an iconic London venue.

How did you choose which spaces at the museum you wanted to use?
We wanted to create the most impact and for our guests to experience as may exhibits within the museum as possible.

How did the Energy Hall, Exploring Space and Making the Modern World work for your event?
The spaces were great – Making the Modern World is very impressive!

What catering did you opt for? Was anything bespoke created?
Blue Strawberry created a fantastic menu for guests which included a selection of canapes served in the Energy Hall, a standing bowl food starter and a main of roast fillet of ex-dairy cow, triple cooked potato rosti, watercress pesto and espelette piperade or a chestnut, sunflower seed & pistachio galette with roasted squash, lemon and rosemary.

Branded cocktails including ‘Vodka Blues’ and ‘Strawberry Fields’ served in a coupe with a foam bubble, and bespoke branded desserts – ‘the moon’, a tonka bavarois with blackberry compote, tonka biscuit, a red chocolate moon and raspberry gel; and ‘the blue cloud’, coconut mousseline, carrot cake and sweet mandarin insert with apricot tuile – were created to tie in with the science and space themes.

What production elements were included as part of the event?
Wise Productions brought the magic to life with a blend of bespoke GOBOs, vibrant lighting and audio that was in perfect sync with the star of the show, Titan the Robot! The custom-designed GOBOs and lighting amplified the museum’s objects turning the ground floor spaces into a futuristic playground for guests. Titan stole the show during the drinks reception with his larger-than-life presence, and Wise made sure his every move and sound was crystal clear, connecting him seamlessly with the audience. In MMW guests were enthralled by the gala set-up, which was designed to provide ambient lighting to tables, highlight key gallery objects, pin spot staging and project bespoke GOBOs.

What feedback did you receive from guests?
They loved the venue and the fun interactive elements within the spaces.

Client testimonial:
“We had such a great event at the Science Museum. Our guests loved the space, and it was fun to be able to think creatively and add such engaging and interactive entertainment elements that really amplified the themes of the exhibits within the space. The team at the museum made sure everything ran smoothly, especially on the night when turnaround times are so tight. Overall, it was such a memorable evening for our guests, one they are still talking about!”
