Avis Budget Group came to the Science Museum to honor employee excellence at their staff awards night, B Extraordinary.
Staff and guests were invited to enjoy an evening packed with glitz, glamour and a lot of fun. It kicked off with a red carpet entrance, where ‘James Bond’ greeted guests on arrival and a towering Transformer kept them in check.
Guests then made their way to the Fly Zone on Floor 3 to experience our simulators, including Tim Peake’s Space Descent–an immersive experience that put guests in the pilot’s seat of a Soyuz capsule.
In the adjacent Flight Gallery, which charts the world’s achievements in aviation, Bubble Food took guests a culinary journey via several live food stations. The ‘East End Smokehouse’ featured a range of delicious Atlantic seafood carved fresh to order, and fish and chips served in edible newspaper.
The ‘Covent Garden Market’ served a selection of British vegetable tapas, and ‘The Fast Food Store’ included mini bargain-buckets with popcorn chicken and triple cooked chips, doughnut burgers and posh hot-dogs.
Guests then went through to the IMAX Theatre, popcorn in hand, to enjoy the awards ceremony. The evening concluded back in Flight, with dancing to the sounds of live band amongst the aeroplanes.
Food and drink was provided by Bubble Food, entertainment by Sternberg Clarke and production by Blitz.
